First you need to know whether you need the 64-bit or 32-bit version. To find this out, click your START button (or WINDOWS button) then right-click on “Computer” and left-click on “Properties”. A window should pop up that says you have Microsoft Windows, the version number, and then either 32-bit or 64-bit. Download the proper version below:
Once you’ve downloaded the installation program, double-click on it to run it, then follow the directions below, making your screen look just like this one:
PAY ATTENTION – THIS NEXT SCREEN IS DIFFERENT!!!
Once the program is installed, you’ll need to right-click on the UltraVNC icon in the system tray — those are all the little icons down in the lower-right hand corner of your screen by the clock. Anyway – right-click on it, and select ADMIN PROPERTIES. On the screen that comes up next you’ll be able to set two passwords. One is for normal use, and the other one is for read-only access. You need to set two different passwords for this to work properly.
Once you’ve sent the passwords, click on OK/APPLY and test your remote access by launching a VNC Viewer session and connecting to the IP address of the computer on which you just installed this software.
